High‑Voltage Power Cable

Application

It is used for power transmission and distribution in power lines with AC 50 Hz and rated voltage of 110 kV~500 kV for fixed installation.

The cable can be installed indoors, outdoors, in air and buried in soil, with partial ponding permitted.

Permitted installation methods include tunnels, pipelines, cable trenches, cable trays and duct banks, and direct burial underground is allowed.

Cables shall not be laid inside magnetic metal conduits.

The cable installation environment shall have good heat‑dissipation conditions.

Rated Operating Temperature of Conductor

The maximum rated operating temperature of cable conductor is 90 °C. Under short‑circuit condition (maximum duration ≤5 s), the temperature shall not exceed 250 °C.

Permissible Bending Radius of Cable

Not less than 20 times the cable outer diameter.

Main components: Conductor, insulation layer, shielding layer, metal layer and protective sheath.

  • Insulation material: Cross‑linked polyethylene (XLPE), Tree‑retardant cross‑linked polyethylene (TR‑XLPE)
  • Shielding material: Semi‑conductive polymer
  • Metal layer: Aluminum tape (AT)
  • Sheath material: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Halogen‑free low‑smoke (LSFH)
